Dr. Register is the founding CEO and President of Trusgen. A multitalented team member and team builder with an extensive science background coupled with an intuitive business sense. Attuned to the global demands and opportunities of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Dr, Register’s career began in 1983 at SIBIA (Salk Institute Biotechnology Industrial Associates), located in southern California. Mastering the then-emerging mammalian gene transfer technologies, and gene cloning. In 1986 Dr. Register moved to Merck Laboratories in West Point, PA where he established these technologies. In 2002 he transitioned to the Merck sales and marketing division, USHH, as a medical science liaison (HSA) for Vioxx.
In 2004 Dr. Register moved to Bayer Healthcare as the International Medical Director, Global Marketing Analgesics, Cough and Cold. As a core member of the Global Analgesics Strategic Business Unit (SBU), He developed global medical marketing strategies for the mega brand Aspirin and Naproxen (Aleve/Flanex). In addition developed and ran Bayer scientific advisory boards, symposia and ran the 2007 International Aspirin Award (IAA) within the International Headache Congress in Stockholm Sweden.
In 2007 Dr. Register formed Trusgen bringing with him over twenty five years of biologic development, tech transfer, marketing and management experience.
Trusgen provides a full range of consulting services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in the United States and European Union. In the beginning of 2008, he was solicited by BiotechCorp in Malaysia to build a contract manufacturing site in Malaysia and founded Trusgen SDN BHD Malaysia. The company was granted BioNexus status by the government in early 2009.
Dr. Register has published in multiple therapeutic areas and presented at international meetings with a focus on contract manufacturing and outsourcing. |
